Min: Privatization of Russia’s Rosneft still scheduled for Jul–Dec
MOSCOW, May 26 (PRIME) -- Privatization of a 19.5% stake in Russian state-run oil major Rosneft is still scheduled for July–December, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters Thursday.
“We have envisaged a sale of a 19.5% stake in Rosneft for the second half of the year. We have selected companies that will carry out the project. So I see no reasons for any changes in decisions that were made by the government,” he said.
On Tuesday, Economic Development Minister Ulyukayev said the cost of a 19.5% stake in the company had exceeded 700 billion rubles, and it would be difficult to limit Russia’s budget deficit at 3% of gross domestic product (GDP) in 2016 without the sale of the stake.
